I am an experienced Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor with over 25 years of expertise in a wide range of areas including trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, adult survivors of sexual abuse, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and career issues.
APPROACH
I view counseling as an equal partnership between client and therapist. I provide a caring and empathetic forum where you can freely explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Whether you have experienced trauma and have never really dealt with it, or are having difficulty coping with overwhelming anxiety, are feeling isolated, or are struggling to make your relationships work, I am here to listen and to work together with you to try to forge a path to a more fulfilling life.
As we work together, I use a variety of approaches designed to assist in the resolution of issues that are interfering with happiness and that negatively affect interpersonal relationships and performance in work and school. My counseling approaches include Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), Experiential Therapies, Strength-Based, Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Person-Centered, and Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Creative Therapies. My therapeutic services are tailored to meet the specific needs of each client. I work with young adults through seniors.
